Much of the daily lesson is done while being in a whole group on the carpet area. Also, during small groups, the carpet area is used for independent activities. During center-choice time, the carpet area is used for larger puzzles, building with magnetic blocks, or just a place for small lego play! The carpet area is one of the greatest used areas in the entire classroom! The present carpet I have is dirty, marked up, and falling apart! It has been cleaned, but has been used for many years!!! Many times if a child is tired or not feeling well, they will lay down on the carpet area as well!
