I teach band to the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students at West Milwaukee Intermediate School in Wisconsin. My students come from very diverse backgrounds; their cultures, Home lives, and life experiences are all unique. They all bring their personal stories to my classroom and that is part of what makes our band program so special! My students love band because it is an opportunity for a level playing field of learning. They all come in to the program with limited instrumental music backgrounds and help one another to grow and succeed as musicians! We are a team of motivated learners! Because our school is of low socioeconomic status, I work diligently to provide meaningful lessons and provide opportunities for our students through music. My hope is to be able to provide each child with the best available materials and instruments for their learning. Thank you for your support!!
