I have been a teachers for over 13 years. I work in an urban, low-income community school with about 80 students in our 5th grade. This year we will be departmentalizing and I will be teaching Math and Guided reading. Students come to school excited to learn and need the tools that will help them reach their goals. As an educator I focus on creating a community in my classroom where students feel safe, secure, and motivated to learn.
