The items I have requested for my classroom have an important purpose during each minute of the school day. I feel these products are missing from our classroom and they would be beneficial for both students and teachers. By receiving these items it will reduce the stress of having to use my own finances to fulfill my Classroom Oasis dream for my students. I can put all of my love and focus into using the items to teach amazing lessons and provide a welcoming classroom environment. My students need to feel that their classroom is a home away from home. Each student learns in a different way and at a different pace. Some students prefer to stand and work, others need sensory breaks to have a successful day. By giving my students multiple work and break options to choose from around the classroom they will become more engaged in their own success. My students have emotional and educational needs that must be met in order for learning to take place. The headphones and stylus' will be used daily on student iPad programs that support their individual needs. The small group rotation format used in my Special Education classroom will be better implemented by the added organization from the shelves and drawer units. Additionally, the flexible seating options will provide comfortable options for partner work, independent work, and silent reading for enjoyment. Every student has different interests as well. The kinetic sand, play doh, stretch bands, crayola items, and marble fidgets will help my students remain calm and focused throughout the school day.
