Keeping up with learning using technology is vital in the life of my students. Teaching in a rural area in a Title I school, many of my students are only able to access tablets in the school setting. I want my students to have the opportunity to use the Kindle Fire as a tool for increasing fluency and accuracy in reading, practice math facts, and enhance creativity. My students are always excited to have the opportunity to use technology. Using the Kindle Fire, they will be able to access a digital library of thousands of books. They will be able to practice math with virtual manipulatives, helpful to many struggling learners. We will also create student driven digital portfolios that build confidence and foster parent communication. The Kindles will give them the opportunity to take ownership over their own learning and create a technology rich classroom environment for these future leaders of the 21st century. My class would be able to work on a regular, daily schedule and rotate technology times within our own routine! The kids would be so excited to have their own classroom Kindles and we appreciate your support towards reaching our goal!
