A majority of my students are on free or reduced lunch. They are struggling readers that have a very difficult time meeting grade level standards. They are limited in their experiences and have little prior knowledge to tap into when learning about new things. These students are coming to school with more needs than ever before as school funds are being cut dramatically. These students need books to read and need to feel like they are an investment in our future.

About my class
