I currently teach fifth grade in Bemidji, Minnesota (think just about Canada). Fifth grade is truly the best grade out there as students are beginning to understand what makes them tick, and what is the best way they can learn. They are eager to please and LOVE finding ways to solve problems using a variety of tools and resources. In Bemidji, Minnesota, many of our students are receiving Free and Reduced Lunch and are often faced with challenges that they cannot control. These challenges really affect my students and sometimes make it difficult to focus on the task at hand. I do my best to offer a learning environment that is engaging for ALL of my students and motivates them to learn and grow to be the best they can be.
