I am a 3rd through 5th grade special education teacher. My classroom is located on the east side of Anchorage. Many of my students come from low-income homes and are on free and reduced meals. My school is richly populated with many different ethnic groups that bring to our school many cultures and traditions. Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. I incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, alternative seating, and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to teach them.
