As an art teacher I am very lucky to witness creativity at its best. Over 600 students of various backgrounds and ethnicities walk into my classroom every week to create and explore. Most come from underprivileged and broken homes and families, and it is my goal to create a safe and comfortable environment for them to express their emotions and feelings through art. Unfortunately, as an art teacher I have very limited resources and art supplies. I have been doing my best to make creative projects possible but with the lack of materials there are large gaps to fill. That is why DonorsChoose.org is a great opportunity and a blessing, for which I am grateful and hopeful.
