I teach 4th and 5th grade students with a specific learning disability. Most of my students are struggling to read and compute mathematical equations. The majority of them are English language learners whose parents are monolingual and are not able to help them with their reading skills at home. I do not want my students to go through their school years not having the love of reading. In spite of the disabilities that my students suffer from, I believe that when they are engaged, the learning possibilities are endless.

About my class
