With a listening center, my students will be able to listen to their favorite stories on CD as they look at the books. Learning to read can become very frustrating for a lot of students, but a listening center provides an exciting way to access reading without frustration. This would be a way for beginning and struggling readers to access books they otherwise could not read on their own. As a new teacher I am always looking for more ways to bring books to my students. A listening center would be a highly engaging way for students to listen to reading.
