My amazing second graders are the highlight of my day. Even though they face challenges such as low incomes, a nontraditional year of kindergarten, broken homes, anxiety related to the unpredictability that the last two years have presented, and challenges that I don't even know about, they are resilient, wonderful children that I am proud to call my class. This year I have been blessed by some of the most kind, caring and empathetic children that I have ever worked with. They encourage one another daily, work together extremely well, and check in with each other about how they are feeling. They love to help each other through struggles, whether that be emotional struggles or academic struggles. I enjoy them so much and would love to provide them with helpful materials and unique opportunities that will meet their individual needs and also challenge each of them to be the best that they can be.
