My students need a class carpet to come together as a community. In a first grade classroom, the majority of whole group lessons begin on the carpet. When I am sitting on the carpet with my students it is a time for us to come together as a community. One that cares for each other and shares ideas. A Spot For Everyone Classroom Carpet allows students to sit in a designated area, as to stay focused on the lesson at hand. When a student is focused on learning, they will own what they learn and apply it to other areas of their academics. By donating to our project, you will help to increase student attention and focus, which will in turn increase their academic achievement.
