The fitness items that I am requesting will be incorporated into my dance program on a daily basis and used to promote healthy habits that will enhance the lives of my students. Our students are only required to take Physical Education for one semester, but can be in the dance program year round for all four years of high school. Providing more physical and mental health and wellness instruction within my dance program is an opportunity to help promote a healthy lifestyle that they will hopefully continue to live well after high school. If we want our students to reach their full potential academically, we must cultivate an environment that cares for their mental and physical health. It is essential to maintain a balanced mind, body, and soul to achieve the success that you desire. We cannot expect one from our students without fostering the others. Having the ability to incorporate workout techniques, yoga practices, and stretch exercises within my dance curriculum will enhance my student's athleticism, increase their overall health, and provide an outlet to release any stress or anxiety they may be experiencing throughout the day.
