I would love chess sets to teach my 80 IGNITE students. My students are in 2nd grade through 6th grades and are at 3 schools. There are 2 schools on an Anchorage military base and one newer STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) school. I hope to use these chess sets, board games and forensics science materials within my 3 schools and IGNITE classrooms as well as in lunch time or after school chess clubs. The games will build up a collection in each of my 3 classrooms to help students learn to strategize in a fun and competitive ways by playing board games. The books, Glo Germ Powder, and UV flashlight will be used to show students how quickly and far germs spread. I will use this in collaboration with the nurse to teach students at all 3 schools this concept.
