This year I will be working in a new school and a new grade level. I will be working with 4th grade students. My goal is to instill a drive and passion for reading. Many students at this age do no think reading is cool or they are not good at it. I want to change that. Reading should be show to students as something fun and exciting not just for standardized tests. Our suburban school is located a few miles south of Washington, DC in a very diverse area - our school population is about 70% minority, 35% economically disadvantaged, and 20% are English learners.
