Many of the students come from a very low income household.Our school is from PreK to 6th grade. We have about 1,200 students. My school and district, like many others, are facing extreme budget cuts. My classroom has very little to no supplies. As a teacher in the inner-city it is a daily struggle to get much needed supplies in my classroom. We have not had a contract for years and we are looking like we may not get one in the near future. We have had no raise so money is tight, however I try to do what I can to ensure my students receive a fair education with as many supplies as I can afford.
