My students are our future. They can make me laugh out loud, test my patience and melt my heart. They need guidance, direction and love. They are my passion and my drive. What a blessing it is to be their teacher. Students in my class come from a small rural community where poverty level is high. Our school serves an entire county where potatoes are our main source of income. Our school, although small, has big plans to grow so that we can serve more students. Currently the majority of our classrooms are in modular where students have to go in and out of builds in all seasons. Our school doors open early for students whose parents work begins before dawn. Our school has been labeled a safe place and we strive to keep it so. Our school grounds are like a patchwork quilt, with buildings, trailers and walkways, however our students achievements and their parents trust, make it all worth it.
