My classroom is already the place where students want to come; they enter my room to cozy up with a good book, find a quiet place for studying, and to find a little inspiration. I implemented flexible seating in my classroom last year, with my own money, and the results were fantastic! However, the seating that I purchased at yard sales and goodwill, or that was donated to my classroom, just did not hold up. I don't for one second regret taking the plunge into the world of flexible seating, but I wish that I could afford sturdier and safer seating options for students. I started with four swivel stools in September, and we are down to one. Our bean bag chairs have lost their shape, and the 2 saucer chairs and 2 "Bungy" chairs are also broken. At this point, I'm bringing back some traditional seating options, as well as standing options next to desks on risers, to get through to the end of the school year. Help! My students truly benefit from flexible seating, and it would be a shame to see it go! The Lakeshore flexible seating bundles and comfy floor seats would be a great improvement to the established flexible seating environment, and receiving funding from generous people like you will make it a reality. Thank you!
