Many of my students are from economically disadvantaged homes and a large percentage are from an English as a Second Language family. Many of my children are learning English at school. Because of this, my students have limited access to technology and have language acquisition difficulties. Additionally, these students are expected to master science concepts that are tested at the state level. Historically, our students have not performed very well on this test as they need more hands-on experience and reinforcement of concepts through pictures and visuals.
