Our school is located in a rural town in southern Oklahoma. Our community consists of less than three thousand citizens. Our town is small but full of family, love, and support for school and education. My students are fascinating first graders full of life and curiosity. They come to school each day ready to learn and are like sponges who soak up every bit of knowledge and learning that comes their way. They are eager, enthusiastic children. Their desire to learn is no different than any other child. They are loving children who are cooperative and helpful. They love to see each other succeed. First grade is a year of growth and maturity both mentally and physically. It is a wonderful year in the development of a child.
