My Spanish Dual Immersion students are one of the many amazing groups of students that I have had, their love for reading is by far impressive. When I announce its reading time or library time, they light up with joy. Yet, sadly, it is a challenge to provide them with a rich and vast amount of literature in the classroom at their level since unfortunately our school library has not had the funding to provide more books for them. The materials that I am requesting are dearly needed in my classroom so that I can provide my enthusiastic group of students with experiences reading book series together or author studies that they can analyze. It will be exciting to see their joyful faces when I announced we have received funding to fulfill their desire for Spanish reading.
