"Instead of asking students what they want to be, ask them what problem they want to solve." - Jamie Casap. I work at a Title 1 school in Chicago Public Schools. Our school of over 1,000 students is extremely diverse with a large bilingual population. Teachers, support staff and administration support all learners through a variety of least restrictive environments. I teach STEM concepts to 5-8 grade students where they are challenged to work collaboratively to solve real-life problems. This new program at our school aims to inspire curiosity, foster imagination, and provide an environment where students can become problem solvers and where they see themselves as future STEM leaders. To achieve this goal, I wold love to provide my students with a variety of technology tools to spark their curiosity and love of STEM.
