My students come from a high poverty rural area and are often exposed to things within the community that are not appropriate for adults and children. My students desire to know that there is more to life than living in poverty, seeing drugs, seeing violence, and feeling unsuccessful. My goal is to encourage my students to become successful members of society. I desire for them to move beyond poverty, violence, and drugs to a life filled with prosperity and positivity.
