Your help will make our students so much more academically successful! Being able to meet their sensory needs and release excess energy wiggling in their seats will help each one of them become more involved in their own learning. My students need a Fitballs Seating Disc, Balance Disc, cold Changing Sphere, and sandscapes to make a peaceful space to process their thoughts as they become even more amazing learners! This project provides a combination of visual and physical techniques to help our students. The Supernova Sphere and Sandscape provide relaxing visual sensory input, which helps our learners take brief brain breaks, especially when they become stressed or over stimulated, to help refocus on academic tasks. The Fitballs and Balance Discs provide our students both physical stability and a silent, appropriate way to release excess energy. This helps our students deal with their fidgety and hyperactive nature in a productive manner, as they are still fully able to participate in academic tasks without becoming disruptive. These items will give my students a safe haven to become better learners. They will be able to focus on their school work while being able to take sensory breaks, when needed, to refocus. The more academically successful they become, the more likely they will eventually be able to reintegrate into a regular classroom!
