I once read a quote that had a profound effect upon my life. The quote was about dreams and said, "When they (dreams) disappear you may still be here, but you will have ceased to live." Disappearing dreams...ceasing to live. Haunting words. Gripping words. I cannot help but connect that message to students in my town. Children in high poverty areas watch their dreams disappear on a regular basis. My students need you. Please consider supporting my project. We know that a child's success in life is inextricably linked to a quality education. Together, you and I can provide the energy and resources necessary to provide students with a year full of wonderful learning experiences, a year in which students can begin to build a foundation that will allow dreams of a beautiful tomorrow to come true.
