Our 'worker bees' spend a lot of time at the carpet area. This is where we listen to engaging read alouds, partner read, share ideas, and show our way to answer a math equation. Currently, we have two rugs pieced together that have served our purpose well, but we look forward to our new rug that will create a community with a special spot for each one of our 'worker bees'! This carpet area is where our Hive meets for community time to express our feelings, solve problems, and to share exciting happenings with one another. This area is a place where we include everyone - it is also a place where we connect and get a pulse on our social emotional needs. This is the place where our Hive has a social buzz. We talk, laugh, listen, and dance together. It's definitely more than a rug for our classroom. This project would not be possible without your generous support. We appreciate your interest in making our Hive a stronger community!
