My students are amazing second graders! They are bilingual readers, writers, mathematicians, musicians, artists, athletes, and scientists. They are also problem solvers, creative thinkers, and peace makers. Best of all they are believers and dreamers. Last year I was their first grade teacher and they inspired me to move with them to second. The results have been spectacular! My students are all native Spanish speakers working toward becoming proficient in English. They love to bake their own birthday cakes right in our classroom, take field trips, invite their parents into our room, and do Science experiments. Our public school is large and diverse. Approximately ninety five percent of my students receive free or reduced lunch.
