The students in my class come from a varied background. Our school is a Title 1 school and Title 2 school. Many students' families struggle financially and most of my class qualify for free lunch. This hinders students ability to have resources which assist them in performing at their highest ability. I serve three different classes of the sweetest group of kiddos, but who lack the background knowledge needed to enable creativity in writing, and the common ground needed to feel as one student body. Due to personal struggles that students bring from home, there are some behavior issues. I encourage all my students to have a love of reading, as well as to form postiive friendships with their peers who seek one common learning goal!
