One of the things lacking in my classroom is technology. My 3rd graders are expected to take and pass tests on the computer, but there are not enough computers in my classroom or school. I have one computer in my class to share with 18 students. My school has two mobile lab carts and one computer lab for the entire school. There are not enough resources for students to be able to interact with technology on a daily basis. My district has allocated a new literacy program called Achieve 3000 which delivers daily differentiated instruction for nonfiction reading and writing that are precisely tailored to each student’s Lexile® reading level. Besides this program, my students will be computer-based tested throughout the year such as state tests and Galileo. My students need more exposure to technology in order to be successful with the new implemented programs and other school projects. This Chromebooks will make it easier to prepare students for the future and give them practice with 21st century skills they need for success later in life. Yet I truly need your support to make this a reality. My students and I will forever appreciate your donation!
