In order to promote teamwork and collaboration during math inquiry projects, students need to be able to share materials and ideas in close proximity. I am asking for three tall, round tables so that students can work together with a variety of math manipulatives (pattern blocks, tiles, dice, etc.) on a flat surface while being able to see each other and share ideas at the same time. Many studies have shown that collaboration in a mathematics classroom boosts student confidence and achievement. With these tables, students will be able to comfortably and efficiently work together which will make them more successful in the classroom, and eventually the workplace. Their focus and participation will increase. Behavior concerns will decrease. I am thrilled to be able to provide this for my students, and I appreciate your help. Thank you!
