It's been shown that school pets can offer teachers new and unique ways to approach their lessons. They add another option for teachers to create interactive learning opportunities for students. Overall, having an animal in a learning environment can help inspire and motivate students in their learning. I believe having a bearded dragon will increase my students learning about science overall and increase their social-emotional skills. Yoshi needs a safe space to co-exist in our classroom and these materials will provide him with the environment he needs to thrive.
