I work with a diverse group of students from many backgrounds and that come with a variety of academic and social needs. I work at an ELL school and have more than five languages other than English spoken in my classroom. My students come eager to learn every day, but some may not have breakfast before school, some may come in the clothes they wore the day before, and some may not come with the supplies they need in order to learn. Some of my students come into the school year not knowing letters, numbers, or shapes while others enter school reading books. With all of these diverse needs it is challenging to best meet all of the needs of each individual student.
