Osmos are used in my classroom as a way to extend student learning and to practice skills. All my students, regardless of ability level, are able to work with and enjoy the activities and tasks on the Osmo. In my classroom we have been fortunate to be able to have some Osmo games that increase student engagement in various subject areas. Numbers has helped reinforce math concepts like adding, counting, and multiplying. Students have increased spelling and practiced spelling patterns with Words. Every child in my room has had the opportunity to be an artist and create beautiful artwork with Masterpiece. Now I would like to add to my classroom the Osmo Pizza Co. game to increase our money curriculum by letting my students set up a pizza shop and run their business and calculate change. Awbie Coding and Jam allow students to explore and make music. Monster provides the opportunity to create animated activities. Mind Racers is a fun, interactive game that challenges players' brains and reflexes. I believe the hands-on play that the Osmo provides my students fosters social intelligence and creative thinking.
