My students are building upon the foundations they have learned in 4th grade. They are visual learners and being able to use manipulatives to learn new concepts in 5th grade will increase their self confidence and give them a new foundational level they can build upon. I will be able to use the ETA hand2mind Daily Math Fluency Kit and its manipulatives to introduce concepts to all my learners, but especially students who thrive on visual learning. This strategy is essential to meeting all of my students diverse needs and assist in creating a lifelong love of math along the way.
