My students live in a high-risk pandemic zone and are prohibited from using manipulatives or any other sharing type of material to prevent them from acquiring the virus. These books will allow me to give each student a book to keep at home and start their very own home library. Ownership of the material makes it even more meaningful to them and increases their curiosity and helps them expand their limits. Books help increase letter knowledge, language development, vocabulary and writing concepts, expand creativity, help make predictions, increase critical thinking and social and emotional skills.
