My classroom has a wide variety of students, including special education students and gifted students. The one thing all of my students have in common is a love of hands-on projects. Their eyes light up when we create projects in class and I love seeing their smiles and their pride at their finished products. They are tenacious - eager to try again and again until they succeed. I have noticed that my students who tend to struggle with book work are amazing at hands-on projects. I love seeing the boost to their confidence that occurs as they engage in the creation process and work with their hands. It helps them realize that they truly have gifts and talents.
