Students travel class to class throughout the day. They arrive in some classes where they do not understand much of what is said and even acquiring vocabulary words can be difficult. Using a dictionary is a tool that will always be useful in classes! Having a English/Spanish dictionary readily available in the classes they attend provide a sense of security and because the dictionaries would be in the rooms already, they will be easy for students to access. Middle school isn't easy and walking around with a thick book only adds to the difficulty. Sometimes dictionaries end up in a locker never to be seen for fear of embarrassment.
