We are in Southern California. Demographically the majority of our students come from low income, minority backgrounds. It is a high school, and I teach all grades from 9th to 12th. About 45 students in each class. I teach 6 classes. The students have very little exposure to any kind of art, and are often amazed at their own abilities and what they themselves can create. Ceramics is a very satisfying experience for all our students. They love it!
