My school focuses on preparing students for high school through yearly individually-targeted growth goals. Each student focuses on their individual goal. My students have a passion for writing stories and persuasive essays. I have learned through reading my students essays and stories that some struggle with hunger, crime in their communities, and responsibilities over younger siblings. My students writing is a window to their hearts and minds. I learn so much about their needs and wants through their work.
