Making sure students are actively engaged and at the same time comfortable is an essential component in motivating them in meeting their educational needs. Every child has the right to the same materials because the truth is not every child learns the same as another and it is my job as a teacher to bring out the best in them. The classroom rug will be used so that students can come to my carpet area and sit according to their number they are organized in the classroom. The chair pockets will be placed on each students' chair, so they can place their pencils, erasers, and crayons in them so that they don't constantly lose them. The flexible stools will be used for students that feel they need to sit differently to be comfortable. The fidget bands will be placed on either the desk legs or the chair legs to help students who have ADHD. The sign language flash cards will be used to help my students in the class to be able to communicate with one of their classmates as myself. The glue, crayons, and scissors will be used by the students for a variety of different activities throughout the school year. I have seen how being flexible and organized can positively affect my students' work and demeanor and hope that the additional options will help us grow even more!
