The robotic equipment will enable my students to learn about engineering and problem-solving. We are asking for funding anytime during the 2019-2020 school year, preferably by October 30. This will allow students to use the equipment during a nine week quarter to build, code and dive robots with a mission or challenge presented to them through the curriculum.
Students will use team collaboration and perseverance in order to gain insight into real-world problem solving that will lead them to 21 century learning.
As a robotics teacher, I have the training and knowledge to pass on to my students; however, we do not have any equipment in our classrooms. The use of the equipment will be recycled and constantly used throughout the year by different students. Therefore, the amount of exposure to robotics will be great, since students from 6th to 8th grade will have hands on experience. These robots will allow us to grow our STEM lab at our middle school and reach students through the interesting field of robotics.
