My students have opportunities to explore technology. Not only are they learning through technology, but they are now learning how to show what they are learning by using a variety of digital tools. My students need these resources to help in their use of technology in the classroom. Having a mouse will help each student become more independent when using their digital tool. Our students are just beginning to learn how to navigate a laptop, and a mouse will help them log into the computer and log into their academic resources more independently and successfully. Our classroom does not have working headphones and students are continuously distracted by the other computers. Headphones are vital to their success on computer programs such as iReady and MobyMax. These materials will be used in my classroom while students are engaged in their remediation and enrichment programs on computers as well as a listening center. The headphones are needed to eliminate distractions and help the students focus while expanding their learning. These headphones and iPad cases will allow students to listen to QR code read aloud stories successfully and independently. They must listen to a story before completing a written response comprehension check. This will give them their best chance for success. Students will use the iPad charging station to demonstrate responsibility and independence when it is time to rotate from one station to the next.
