Our school of about 500 kids is located in a rural area, with little exposure to the outside world. Many students live below the poverty line with 82% free and reduced lunch. We have a strong ELL population. For many of our students, school is the most consistent part of their lives, and families rely on us for a lot. As a school we welcome this and strive to meet all of their needs. Though faced with many challenges outside the walls of the school, my students arrive at school each day eager to take in and absorb all that I lay before them.
