As the only 4th grade reading and writing teacher on my campus I feel that it is important that students have access to dictionaries as they read and write for understanding. Dictionary skills developed early can certainly enrich the future academic success of the scholars on my campus. While a college education is important, I want to also teach my scholars to be life long learners. Dictionaries provide a way for scholars to explore new words and find new worlds within those words. Assessing how words are connected and contrast those words with words previously known. I would like to open an entire world of possibilities using a dictionary as a compass. Please aid me in securing these needed items to help my scholars explore the English language. Thank you in advance for your support!
