I have a class of 29 Third Graders, 95% of them receive free or reduced lunch. They are the sweetest, most loving class I have had in my 12 years of teaching, but they are also the most underprivileged group I have worked with. Many of them come to school without typical life experiences. They are lacking in technology and experiences and it is being reflected in their academics. They are underexposed and underprivileged, but we (my students and I) are determined to bridge their educational gaps!
