Giving students time to read each day in school is vital to their educational growth. Each year my students tell me that their favorite part of the school day is when I give them time to read to themselves or read with a friend. My students will use the book bins I am asking for to hold their set of self-selected books. When it is reading time, my kiddos will take their book box to a reading place and read! Personal book boxes are a key component to my reading time. Students choose their own "just right" books and keep them in their own book box. When students are given a choice and time to read they are able to improve comprehension, writing, spelling, and, most of all, have fun!
