My students are struggling readers who have a very difficult time identifying with the text. They require hands-on materials to help make reading come alive. My project is to use a Cricut to create hands-on materials daily to help them connect with literature. Although my students may be struggling readers, they are encouraging to all that work with them. They are eager to learn each day and I want to continue encouraging them to do so. The Cricut will provide me with the support needed to help them be successful each day. Having the ability to color-code the classroom, provide visual stimuli and hands-on materials, my class will be set up to flourish. They will also build the confidence they need when learning in their general education class.
