Hello Friends- I run the Affective Needs Program at Englewood High School. This program is designed to meet the needs of students with disabilities whose behavioral and/or emotional characteristics significantly interfere with their own learning and/or the learning of others. The intention of the program is to help students learn skills to be successful in the general education setting and use their gifts to have a successful transition out of high school. I love my job because I love my students. It is incredible to see them blossom and gain confidence. Daily i play the role as teacher, parent, social worker, counselor, therapist, coach and confidant. These students need extra support to flourish. My students are precious and unique and challenging and creative and beautiful.
