My 2nd grade students come from diverse backgrounds, many who have both parents working. 60% of the school population is on free or reduced lunch and only 2 parents are on the PTA. We are a school that is Title 1 with many teachers reaching in their own pockets to fund items in their classroom. Despite all this, our kids are SO eager to learn and can reach high standards if they put their mind to it!
